National partners from the Drug Control Agency, National Centre for Monitoring and Prevention of Drug Use, Republican Clinical Centre of Narcology, Republican AIDS Centre, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Justice and NGOs took part in the three-day National workshop. They discussed the 2016 National Report on Drug Situation and other documents.
The Central Asia Drug Action Programme (CADAP 6) represents continuity of the EU policy and long-term engagement with Central Asian partners to help further strengthen their national strategies in drug and drug demand reduction policies. The programme is funded by the European Union and implemented by the Consortium from the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Poland and Germany led by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
It is the second national workshop where both European and National experts revised and finalised the Country Situation Summary on Drug Situation, Country Information Map on Drug Situation and the 2016 National Report on Drug Situation (2015 data). The work on those documents started in May 2016 during the first national workshop and has been going on through on-line communication among National and European experts.
Experts also discussed a survey on drug use among schoolchildren to be implemented in the framework of CADAP 6 in 2017 with the Tajik National Focal Point (Drug Observatory), DCA and invited research companies familiar with drug and/or HIV/ AIDS epidemiological reseach.
