International conference «The role of community and social work in the sphere of drug use and prevention of infectious diseases» was held on 24-25 of January 2018 in Bishkek

During the third Regional Steering Committee meeting arranged by the Central Asia Drug Action Programme – Phase 6 (CADAP 6), results and a plan of activities for the programme’s planned extension period till September 2019 were presented and discussed with CADAP national partners from drug control government agencies and Ministries of Health and Internal Affairs from Central Asian states.

During the third Regional Steering Committee meeting arranged by the Central Asia Drug Action Programme – Phase 6 (CADAP 6) on 16 February, results and a plan of activities for the programme’s planned extension period were presented and discussed with CADAP national partners from drug control government agencies and Ministries of Health and Internal Affairs from Central Asian states.

In Kyrgyzstan, a high proportion of adolescents aged 15-16 years reported the use of cannabis products (marijuana or hashish) and other psychoactive substances during a recent study carried out by CADAP. 3.3% of boys and 1.2% of girls admit that they have tried marijuana at least once in their life, 7.6% of boys and 4.1% of girls used inhalants.

During the second National Steering Committee meeting arranged by CADAP on 16 November, a short overview of the current programme implementation in Kyrgyzstan in 2016-2017 and plan of activities for 2018 were presented and discussed with CADAP national partners.
