CADAP national partners from the Ministries of Interior, Ministries of Health and Ministries of Foreign Affairs representing five Central Asian countries took part in the EU-Central Asia Dialogue on Drugs at the Council of the European Union in Brussels.
On 12 October CADAP handed over specialized medical equipment (medical beds, laryngoscopes, defibrillator, patient monitors, oxygen concentrator, biochemical semiautomatic analyser and other) to the regional narcological centre in Kulyab city.
Two experts from Germany and Belarus conducted a two-day training workshop on 11-12 September 2017 for fourteen doctors-narcologists, psychologists and rehabiltation specialists from Pavlodar, Almaty, Astana, Zhambyl, Aktobe and Kostanai cities.
During a meeting in Astana on 24 August, CADAP experts from Poland met with national experts, teachers of local schools responsible for the drug prevention programme implementation and local authorities to discuss the first results of the prevention programme “Closer to Each Other – Further from Risky Behaviour” for adolescents.
During a workshop in Pavlodar on 27-28 July, two experts from the Polish National Bureau for Drug Prevention discussed the drug prevention programme with eleven Kazakh experts from the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development and psychologists working with people who use drugs.
