For the first time, the Central Asia Drug Action Programme Phase 6 (CADAP 6) sets out proposals for reviewing and supporting the development of strategies, action plans and legislations employing European good practices. The Trimbos-instituute incorporates a balanced policy approach with the latest developments and achievements in the field of drug demand reduction and other drug-related policy forms (including new approaches supported by CADAPs’ previous phases) and overarches the actions covered by the other components, namely national focal points, drug use prevention mechanisms, prevention campaigns, treatment methodologies and social/street work. Trimbos’ strategy follows an integrated and plural approach to drug policy by inter-agency coordination, trans-regional and international cooperation.
